Teen Counseling in Santa Rosa

We love teenagers!

All of the therapists at InTune Family Counseling have worked with teens for a long time.

Not only do teens trust us, but we truly enjoy listening to them, talking and connecting to help them grow. It’s a great match! Sometimes it takes a while for adolescents to open up and share, but once they do they have a lot to say!

Of course we bring our education and training to the counseling room, but we also know that teens are the experts of their own worlds.

The truth is that teens experience some very real issues. From family conflict, trauma and violence to bullying, gender identity and sexuality concerns.

Not to mention struggles with depression and anxiety.

There are a variety of concerns that teens discuss with our therapists. One thing is guaranteed, teens feel understood and taken seriously here at InTune Family Counseling.

Naturally, you want your teen to be healthy and thrive!

As a parent, it is extremely difficult to see your child struggle in their daily life.

InTune also offers Adult Therapy and Family Counseling as we understand the pressures and stress that can surface for every member of your family during the teen years. Of course, some conflict is normal and natural – sometimes even a positive sign of independence, critical thinking and negotiation skills.

However, there are some important signs to pay attention to as well, which may indicate bigger issues to address with a professional counselor.

Wondering if you should consider counseling for your teen?

Regardless of what brings teenagers to us, nearly all can benefit from counseling.

There are some things teens prefer not to share with their parents or family members. This can be tough, but having a neutral source of support from a therapist can help them to better think through and solve their problems.

As a result of counseling, they can learn better ways to cope with their stress. They tell us that they feel better when they achieve their goals and feel less stuck, better understood and not judged.

We are flexible, compassionate, and truly care about teenagers.

We strive to meet them where they are.

InTune offers the opportunity for teenagers to work through their struggles so they can feel better.

Parent coaching is also offered, helping caregivers of teenagers understand adolescent development, how to set healthy boundaries, tuning into the emotional world of teens and building confidence in parenting.
