Frequently Asked Questions

  • There are many signs to look for that indicate your child or teenager needs counseling. It may be hard to figure out if this is just a difficult phase or if they need professional help.

    • Consider your answers to the following questions.

    • Is your child or teen suffering?

    • What are your major concerns for them?

    • Are you struggling as a parent to help them?

    • Has nothing worked to improve the situation so far?

  • The services we offer include the following:

  • For counseling to be effective it does require a commitment of both time and finances. An important question to ask is whether or not you can afford to delay getting your child or teenager the help they need.

We can help to make this possible in a couple of ways.

We are able to take credit/debit cards as well as Health Savings Account cards.

We can also advise you on how to get insurance reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services.

    Our fees are as follows:

Licensed therapist: $180 for a 50 minute session

    Pre-licensed therapist: $150 for a 50 minute session

  • InTune Family Counseling is a private pay practice, but we are insurance friendly.

We can often help you to use your insurance to offset the cost of therapy. Some of this depends on your particular benefits, yearly deductibles and reimbursement rates.

We can give you the information you need to check your benefits and find out if you can be reimbursed for our services.

Due to the cost and investment of therapy, it makes sense to find out if your medical benefits will cover mental health counseling.

  • This is a common and understandable question. It is tough to determine how long counseling will last.

We like to focus on making as much progress as possible in the shortest amount of time possible. With that said, some issues are more difficult and require a longer treatment time.

Your therapist will stay in close communication with you to make sure your needs are being met. We want you and your family to feel successful, whether you come for 4 sessions or 24 sessions!

  • In order for your son or daughter to be able to trust their therapist, they must know that the therapist will keep what they share in confidence.

However, we can share general information about the issues that we are working on and whether or not they are making progress. There are some exceptions to confidentiality, which mostly involve concerns for the safety of your child or teen.

It is important for us to have regular contact with you and possibly involve you in the therapy process.
