Using Your Insurance with Out-of-Network Providers

InTune Family Counseling is insurance friendly.

We understand that you pay good money for your insurance and you want to use it when you can.

However, you also want to choose the right counselor for you and your family.

We are out-of-network with most insurances, with the exception of Partnership Health Plan of California (MediCal).

Many of our clients have PPO (Preferred Provider) plans and they do get reimbursed for seeing our counselors.

Super Important: insurance plans vary widely, so you must check your benefits first!

When you call your insurance company you want to ask these questions.

  1. Do I have coverage for out-of-network providers for mental health services?

  2. What is my deductible and how much have I already met?

  3. What percentage of the counseling fees will be reimbursed?

From there it is pretty simple.

You will pay the counseling fees at the time of the appointments.

You can use a credit or debit card. You can also use a Health Savings Card. Check and cash work fine as well!

At the beginning of each month you will automatically be emailed an invoice for the previous month. It will have all the codes and information that your insurance company needs.

Next, you will mail that invoice to the claims address on your ID card.

Done!
